CAUTION
Caution · Monitor Conditions
Moderate algae presence detected. Avoid prolonged contact.

The water shows signs of elevated algae bloom activity and mild discoloration in the green-brown spectrum. Surface foam is visible near the edges. These conditions are consistent with nutrient runoff in warm weather. Swimming is not recommended. Fishing may continue with caution.

Detailed Findings
  • Algae & Bloom Detection 62 / 100
Moderate surface bloom visible. Green discoloration across approximately 15–20% of visible water surface. Consistent with cyanobacteria presence — avoid direct skin contact.
  • Water Color & Clarity 74 / 100
Water hue is in the acceptable green-blue range. Slight turbidity detected — visibility estimated at 60–80cm. Not alarming, but below ideal clarity thresholds.
  • Surface Debris & Foam 70 / 100
Organic foam detected along the glass. Pattern is consistent with decomposing plant matter rather than detergent or chemical contamination. Monitor if foam increases.
  • User Observations 65 / 100
Mild odor reported. No dead fish observed. Recent normal weather reduces runoff risk. Observations are factored into the overall score weighting.

Analysis Engine

Six things WaterDoc reads

Four scan modes, each with weighted sub-scores. Point the camera, pick a mode, get a diagnosis built for aquarium and pond keepers.

  • Water Clarity & Color Water Scan

Reads hue, cloudiness, and discoloration. Detects bacterial blooms (milky white), chemical issues (vivid unnatural color), new tank cycle turbidity, and tannin tint — each scored and explained.

  • Algae Detection & Identification Algae Scan

Identifies algae type — black beard (BBA), brown diatoms, green spot, cyanobacteria, green water — and pinpoints the likely root cause: excess nutrients, low CO2, or light duration.

  • Surface & Substrate Condition Water Scan

Checks for oily surface film, detritus accumulation, visible waste buildup, and signs of poor filter flow — conditions that degrade water quality before parameters spike.

  • Fish Health Screening Fish Scan

Scans body, fins, eyes, and posture for ich (white spots), fin rot, popeye, velvet, ulcers, bloating, and clamped fins. Returns a health score with suspected condition and urgency level.

  • Aquatic Plant Health Plant Scan

Diagnoses nutrient deficiencies from leaf symptoms — nitrogen (overall yellowing), iron (new leaves pale), potassium (holes and crispy edges), calcium (deformed new growth) — and recommends a fix.

  • Observations & Test Readings User Input

Odor level, unusual sightings, and recent conditions are factored into the score. Numeric test results (pH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate) are cross-referenced against your species' safe ranges.

Scoring

0 – 100. Weighted. Actionable.

Every scan produces a numeric health score. Each band triggers a specific recommended action — from "your tank is thriving" to "immediate intervention required."

75–100
Good
Tank parameters are healthy. Livestock safe. Maintain your current routine and monitor weekly.
50–74
Caution
Some parameters need attention. Test manually, increase water changes, and observe livestock closely.
25–49
Poor
Significant issues detected. Perform an immediate partial water change and remove affected livestock to a quarantine tank if needed.
0–24
Critical
Critical — tank is in crisis. Emergency water change required. Move livestock immediately and identify the root cause before reintroducing.
